Anniversary Heart Cake
By Raven on 21st July, 2009
The model for the sweet cake icons on my website (thank you, my talented husband!), this is a Level 2 cake. It is made of layers of chocolate and yellow cookies and filled and frosted with chocolate buttercream icing. The hearts and flowers are made of fondant and gumpaste and I painted some of the fondant elements with pink luster dust. To add to the romance, I sprinkled more luster dust over the top of the cake.

Hey Raven! The website looks great! It’s so cutely designed and has a great layout. I think the idea of this is so brilliant. Personally, I love things on a small scale…small silverware, cups, plates, etc. It seems extra special when it’s tiny for some reason. Also, I’m impressed with how reasonably priced they are. I can’t quite tell from the pictures…what is the measurement of them? I wish you the absolute best of luck!!
Thanks, Alicia! The cookies are about 2-2.5 inches across and the completed cakes stand about 2 inches tall. I’ll post that somewhere on the site–that’s good information for people to know. Thanks again for dropping by–if you ever need cakes when you’re out here, you know who to call
