A “Prep and Landing” Birthday Cake

This year for his 4th birthday, my cute nephew wanted a Prep and Landing (the Disney short that came out this past December) party. What a fun theme! This is a delicious chocolate bundt cake with a batter full of chocolate chips. I also spread a thick layer of homemade peppermint buttercream frosting (complete with crushed peppermint candies!) in between the two layers of cake. I then frosted the cake with a divine chocolate buttercream and added fondant stripes and a mini candy cane border.

Unfortunately, my sculpting skills were depleted by the fact that both my little ones have had a stomach bug the past couple of days. Luckily, I don’t think this 4 year-old will mind the paper elves stuffed into peppermint candies
