Train Cake for a Birthday Boy

Here’s a cake I whipped up for my cute nephew. The only instructions were that it have blue on it, some kind of train, and be chocolate cake. The cake is a yummy buttermilk devil’s food cake, filled with fluffy chocolate frosting, and iced in vanilla buttercream.

I went with a cookie/candy train--just because I was afraid there might not be enough sugar content in the cake and frosting

And, yes, my hands were tired after piping all that grass.
